Give your puppy the best start with our 6-week AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy and Puppy Foundation program. This class focuses on building confidence, good manners, and a strong relationship between you and your puppy through positive reinforcement training.
Think of AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy as pre-preschool, and Puppy Foundation as preschool or kindergarten.
Your puppy will learn:

Sit, down, stay, come, and loose-leash walking

Appropriate socialization with people and other puppies

Confidence-building exercises

How to prevent common puppy behaviors such as jumping, nipping, and excessive barking

Fun, engaging training activities
Owners will learn:

How to communicate effectively with their puppy

Training techniques to reinforce good behavior at home

How to build a lifelong bond with their dog
Requirements:

Puppies must be between 12 weeks and 8 months of age.

Proof of age-appropriate vaccinations is required.
If you would like your puppy to earn the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certification, please let your trainer know. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluation is completed separately by appointment and is available for an additional fee.
Our Puppy Foundation program continues building on these skills, helping puppies develop better focus, confidence, and obedience as they grow.
